Our Approach

How much time do you spend “looking after” your career?

Most of us just let our career look after itself. We only give it some attention when something goes amiss (a restructure by your employer; a new manager you don’t like working with; a change in your life circumstances and your needs...). Maybe that’s why you’re here on this website – something in your career is not working, and you want some help to fix it!

For most of the 20th Century, most people looked after their health in much the same way. Just let it take care of itself, and get some professional help when something isn’t working. Then around the 80’s, people started adopting a different attitude towards their health. Public gyms began to spring up, and millions of people joined fitness classes of various kinds, or took up walking for exercise, or yoga or pilates for their health. People started watching what they ate and how they exercised, and monitoring their own health and wellbeing.

What if you looked after your career like you look after your health?

What if there were habits you could develop that would improve the health and wellbeing of your career?

The truth is, most people who have successful careers do have habits and patterns of behaviour that make them successful. And these are habits you can learn.

At Career Spa, we help you build your career fitness, by teaching you successful career habits. We will help you improve your opportunity awareness (we call it “Deliberate Opportunism”), build your self-understanding, and make good career decisions – even on the run! (And yes, we can help you fix it if something isn’t working, too!)
